AUTHOR’S COMMENT
It is this author’s intention to record documented evidence of the southern BOYETT families. Some additional comments will be included to help point out proofs, inconsistencies, and assumptions. The BOYETT family name occurs most frequently in the Southern States; with this in mind this compilation of records has been completed. It would be impossible to research every BOYETT family in the Southern States, but that which seems most valuable has been included. Many have contributed their findings and helped in piecing together the southern BOYDTT family, without them this would be incomplete. It is hoped that many will be able to use the materials included herein and continue research to further record and document the history of this family.
Corrections, additions, and correspondence with the author will be gladly received. The first volume will include only the descendants of Thomas BOYT, Sr. More than one volume will be necessary to record in printed form all the records of the various BOYET families which descend from the Nansemond Co, VA BOYT families.
Volume two has already been started, but will not be completed for some time, It is hoped that any additions or corrections that, need to be made to volume one can be included in the second volume of the to family records.
